About Us
What started as a small initiative in 2019 has grown into a meaningful movement. In 2019, a handful of us came together with one goal to give specially-abled individuals the recognition and platform they deserve. That first event, Pride of India 2019, drew a response we hadn’t quite expected, and it pushed us to make this more than a one-time effort. By 2021, Shining Star Foundation was officially registered, and we haven’t slowed down since Pride of India 2021 and Pride of India 2025 followed, each one building on the last. We’re still at it today, working toward a society where ability isn’t a barrier to being seen, respected, and celebrated.
